This is the showcase pinball event at YEGPIN, to showcase the talents of pinball players all around the world.

  • YEGPIN Match Play Championship is the one of largest pinball tournaments in the world, featuring 96 pinball machines and up to 240 players competing over three consecutive days to determine the champion.
  • There are a three distinct skill divisions (A, B, Novice) in the event, with beautiful customized trophies going to all of the winners in each division.
  • This event continues to grow so don’t miss out, show your stuff and compete against some of the best pinball players in the world.
  • This is an official Stern Pro Circuit event and on schedule to be a IFPA certified plus event.

  • Main – Banks 1 – 4, B – Banks 5 – 8, Novice – Banks 9 – 12
  • The stream will be focused on group 1 in each round (highest seeded player).
  • Times are all tentative, rounds can start up to 15 minutes before estimated start time
  • A player that has a bye does not have to show up until 10:30am there is no check in process, the next round can start at 10:30am or later.
  • Semi Finals and Finals rounds will begin as soon as the round is over and not by the assigned schedule.

General Information

On Thursday, each participant will compete in a total of five rounds. Each of the rounds consisting of four (4) machine, four-player matches to determine the skill division for all competitors. Divisions will then be divided into Main, B, Novice. The main being most highly skilled players in the tournament for play the next day.

On Friday, players will be put into their specific divisions based on their placement in the previous round and compete against other competitors that are solely within their own skill division, the top 28 in each skill division will move on to the playoff round the next day.

On Saturday, the top 28 placements in each division will compete in a separate division final in an exciting four (4) machine, four-player matches where only the top 2 will advance until we reach the finals. All playoff finalist will receive cash prizing, and the top 4 will also take home trophies or plaques.

  • The A division is restricted to players with a IFPA rank of 1 to 250
  • The B division is restricted to players with a IFPA rank of 251 to 1000
  • Novice division is restricted to players with a IFPA rank of 1001 or greater
  • Byes will be provided in the ‘Main’ division to the top 1-4 qualifiers in each division they will advance immediately into the quarter-final bracket.
  • Finals start at 9:00 am sharp on Saturday, players must show up or will be removed and eliminated from the playoff round, please check the standings in each division if you qualified and be prepared to play. No substitutes will be allowed in the playoff rounds, and any prize money is forfeited for no shows. If you have a bye then you must show up before your round starts no later than 10:30am, the schedule is only a guideline and we will start future rounds as soon as the round before has been completed.
  • Each elimination (playoff) round will be a four (4) game, four-player scoring format (4,3,2,1 scoring) knockout round with two players advancing until the final 4 grouping.
  • Top seed will get choice of bank (can defer) or position. If position is selected you hold that position for all four games.
  • A person cannot pick the same bank twice in a row throughout the competition.
  • The tiebreaking game is on the Solid State machine (4th game) in the next bank. The position choice of the game defaults to the best seeded player.

General Rules

  • All rules, malfunctions, machine settings and player conduct to be based on PAPA rules.
  • Extra Balls will be turned off or a sign posted to ‘Play Extra Balls’ on particular games if needed.

Prize Pools

  • Prizing will be provided to the top 28 in Main, B Division, Novice Division.
  • Based on a full sellout, a potential of $36,000 in cash and prizes to be given away to the winners, including a NIB pinball machine to the winner.
  • Beautiful custom trophies will be given to the winners in all divisions, 2-4 places will receive plaques in each division of play.
  • If you do not show up or abandon your playoff position YEGPIN reserves the right to hold your tournament payout.
